Christmas has come early for 11 of our wonderful dancers who have been promoted into coryphée, soloist and senior artist positions.

It’s that magical time of the year where Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker score rings out across stages and the ballet world embraces the festive season.

This year, The Australian Ballet has something extra special under the tree for our artists and ballet family, that’s right, it’s dancer promotion season!!

We are utterly thrilled to announce that the following artists have been promoted.

Senior Artist

Davi Ramos

The Australian Ballet was delighted when Davi joined the company as a soloist at the beginning of 2024. The Brazilian-born dancer arrived from the Dutch National Ballet and has demonstrated his technical brilliance and powerful presence throughout the year. Congratulations Davi!

Drew Hedditch

Drew's love of dancing began at age 5 when he began tap dancing classes in his hometown of Canberra. In 2011 he joined The Australian Ballet School and was invited into the company in 2014. Drew was promoted to coryphée in 2018 and is our newest soloist in 2024!
