Director of Artistic Health

Melbourne

We’re looking for a full time Director of Artistic Health to join The Australian Ballet team. As department head, this position is responsible for the operational management of the Artistic Health Team overall. Additionally, as part of The Australian Ballet’s learning partnership with La Trobe University, the position includes research responsibilities including overseeing student supervision within research program and post-graduate physiotherapy clinical placements.

Head of Production Technology

Melbourne


Reporting to the Technical Director, the Head of Production Technology is responsible for leading and managing the Production Technology Team within the broader Technical and Production Department. The Head of Production Technology will lead, manage and develop the team to ensure it is a cohesive unit that works collaboratively with other technical discipline, and the broader Company, to provide efficient and effective execution of all programming and performance duties relating to production technology. The role is responsible for planning and facilitating productions, utilising appropriate and relevant production technologies, including stage lighting, while supporting Lighting and Projection Designers, Associates and Re-lighters.

Head of Staging Operations

Melbourne

The Head of Staging Operations is an integral member of the Technical Department. The role requires excellent communication with the Stage Manager, Production Manager and other crew along with the Technical Director and Director of Production and Artistic Operations to deliver the highest standard of theatrical staging operations within current safety guidelines, including accurate planning for and documenting of each production. The position requires the flexibility to work varied hours and travel frequently both domestically and internationally.

FAQs

Can I apply for more than one job at a time?

Yes, you can apply for more than one role at a time. However, you will be required to submit separate applications for each role you would like to apply for.

Are there dancer auditions?

The Australian Ballet holds auditions only when we have dancer contracts available. Should you submit your information for consideration, we will hold it on file and make contact only with dancers the company wishes to audition.

Due to the extremely high number of submissions we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback for applicants. Regardless of whether your application is successful, we thank you for your interest in joining our Company, and sincerely encourage you to continue pursuing your ambitions.

How long does the recruitment process take?

For each position we publish, the process may be different, but generally it is a several weeks.
