Subscribe
Purchase a Season Package to become a subscriber and access discounts on tickets purchased throughout the year.
Additionally, subscribers can enjoy great benefits such as access to the best seats, free exchanges, early access to ticket onsales, discounted parking and can choose to pay for Season Packages in interest-free instalments over three months.
Child tickets
Introducing children to the ballet at a young age can be not only a wonderful cultural experience, but a special bonding moment or new tradition created for you and a future balletomane. Tickets purchased for children under the age of 18 save 50% off the adult ticket price.
Discounts for target groups
The Australian Ballet offers specialised discounts for specific groups. You may be eligible for a discounted ticket if you belong to one of the below groups. For more information on our Concessions Policy.
Concession Card Holders
Available to individuals with an Australian government-issued Health Care Card or Australia government-issued Pension Card. Select the Pensioner price type when purchasing your tickets.
Students
Available to full-time students with a valid student card. Select the Student price type when purchasing your tickets.
Under 30s
Available to individuals 30 years or under at time of purchase with acceptable proof of age, e.g. a driver's license, a proof of age card, a passport or a birth certificate. Select the Under 30 price type when purchasing your tickets.
Companion Card Holders
The Australian Ballet supports the National Companion Card Scheme. Companian Card holders can book a ticket at no cost when attending a performance with their companion. For more information visit companioncard.gov.au. Call our Customer Experience team to book in your ticket.
Book Early
Secure your tickets early to avoid disappointment and lock in a cheaper rate. Ticket prices may rise as the performance date approaches and demand for tickets increases, so it’s best to plan ahead and book your seats early.
Mid-Week Ballet
Enjoy some mid-week culture and save! Performances on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday tend to be lower in price than weekend performances.
$40 Telstra Ballet Ballot
Enter the ballot for your chance to purchase up to two $40 tickets to the performance of your choice. There are 10 ballot tickets available for every performance. Two weeks out from opening night, the ballot closes, and winners are drawn for each performance.
Venue Student Rush Tickets
Full-time students with a valid student ID can access Student Rush Tickets priced between $39-$42. Subject to availability, Student Rush Tickets are available three hours before the performance starts and must be purchased at the venue box office.
TodayTix Rush Tickets
Keep an eye out for The Australian Ballet on TodayTix. We occasionally offer discounted tickets on the same day of the performance. Head to TodayTix to view our current offers and secure your seats.
Livestream on Ballet TV
Enjoy the beauty of ballet from the comfort of home. We offer livestream performances of our most popular ballets that can be accessed for 14-days after the performance. Tickets for a livestreamed performance start at $29.
Group Bookings
Groups of 10 or more attending the ballet together will receive a discount off the standard Adult Rate for selected performances. To enquire about available events or to make a booking, please phone or message us at Contact Us.
Behind the Scenes events
You can access a $12 ticket price for our Behind the Scenes events when booking for a group of 10 or more. School groups can save further by receiving a complimentary teacher ticket for every 10 students.

Bundle your savings! We offer a 15% discount when you purchase 3 or more Step Inside events alongside a Season Package.
