Davi Ramos
Davi Ramos was born in the Vidigal favela of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He discovered his passion for ballet at age 13 when his capoeira teacher encouraged his mother to take him to ballet class. Davi trained at Lyceu Escola de Dança with Lorena Boaventura. He received a scholarship to the Royal Ballet School in London after competing in the 2016 Prix de Lausanne where he trained for three years.
After graduating in 2019, Davi joined the Dutch National Ballet Junior Company and was consistently promoted each year. In 2023 Davi was promoted to grand sujet before accepting David Hallberg’s offer to join The Australian Ballet in 2024 as a soloist. At the end of 2024, Davi was promoted to the rank of Senior Artist. Davi was promoted to Principal Artist in May 2026.
