Cleaner - 2 Positions Available - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

A great opportunity has become available for an experienced commercial cleaner to join our team on a 12 month contract. As a member of the Building Services team, you are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of The Primrose Potter Australian Ballet Centre and our adjoining carpark. The role follows a daily cleaning schedule and includes an element of manual handling relating to floor cleaning equipment, chemical solutions and cleaning materials.

First Nations Education Cadets

We are on the look out for two First Nation Education Cadets that are able to join us for a 12 week block from July. This is best suited to graduates who are keen to have a touring experience.

All costs for touring are covered, you will be well supported, given clear goals and mentored within the Education and Outreach team with access to practical support through our medical team.

These roles are for artists that are considering making a career, working in the community as a teaching artist, and the focus is very much on pedagogy, working in a diverse environment and practicing choreographic craft within community.

Applicants are not required to have advanced ballet technique but a strong dance training is advantageous as well as bringing a confident perspective to our work in embedding more inclusive Indigenous world views into our pedagogies.

Casual Dance Educators

The Australian Ballet’s innovative dance education program is seeking expressions of interest for Casual Dance Educators. The Australian Ballet's Education and Outreach programs include workshops for primary and secondary students, creative residencies and performances in schools. The Education team also deliver Teacher Professional Development (designed for generalist and specialist teachers) across Australia.

We’re looking for dancers with a comprehensive background in a high standard of classical and contemporary technique, a high level of fitness, performance experience and an ability to work to a high standard representing Australia’s National Company.

You must have excellent communication skills, teaching experience and a strong desire to learn to teach the company education content. A full driving licence would be preferred.

Candidates should be based in Melbourne, touring may be required by negotiation.
