The Costume Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing orders, maintenance, and distribution of all dancers’ shoes, including the main company, education team and regional touring. This role is part of a team that manages costume requirements for all activities in the company and therefore requires strong organizational, record keeping and communication skills. This role is based in Melbourne.

Payroll Specialist

A great opportunity to own the day-to-day Payroll function, with support from the wider finance team.The Payroll Specialist is accountable for the payroll function, and the timely and accurate processing, reconciliation and payment of payroll, superannuation, employment related taxation, royalties and salary packaging for all employee’s, contractors and guest artists of The Australian Ballet group, including Orchestra Victoria.

Head of Marketing Communications - Maternity Leave Cover

Our Head of Marketing Communications is responsible for developing and activating intergrated marketing campaigns that support our company in driving growth and engagement, attracting new audiences and achieving its commerical revenue goals.

This position is based in Melbourne and is for a 12 months fixed term contract.

First Nations Education Cadets

We are on the look out for two First Nation Education Cadets that are able to join us for a 12 week block from July. This is best suited to graduates who are keen to have a touring experience.

All costs for touring are covered, you will be well supported, given clear goals and mentored within the Education and Outreach team with access to practical support through our medical team.

These roles are for artists that are considering making a career, working in the community as a teaching artist, and the focus is very much on pedagogy, working in a diverse environment and practicing choreographic craft within community.

Applicants are not required to have advanced ballet technique but a strong dance training is advantageous as well as bringing a confident perspective to our work in embedding more inclusive Indigenous world views into our pedagogies.
