Who is Graeme Murphy?

Labelled a national living treasure, Graeme Murphy is Australia’s premier choreographer. With his passion, creativity, humour and bold imagination, he has placed Australia on the international cultural map.

In 2018, Murphy celebrates 50 years with The Australian Ballet. He began his dance career in the company’s corps de ballet and went on to an incandescent career as the head of Sydney Dance Company.

We pay tribute to this remarkable artist with a revival of his vividly re-imagined Firebird, alongside excerpts from his groundbreaking The Silver Rose, Air and Other Invisible Forces, Grand and Ellipse, in a special anniversary tribute event.

Experience the genius of Graeme Murphy this autumn with a showcase of some of his greatest moments.
