Dr Richard Dammery

Richard’s career spans over 30 years in a range of senior business and legal roles, including over 15 years in senior general management positions in the telecommunications, technology and retail industries. In addition, Richard was a partner at the law firm MinterEllison, where he practiced corporate and competition/regulatory law, advising a wide range of corporate and Government clients.

Richard is the current Board Director for:

• The Australian Ballet, Chair (appointed 2024)
• Pinchgut Opera, Chair (appointed 2024)

Additionally, Richard is a member/director of O’Connell Street Associates (appointed 2022).

Richard holds a BA (Hons) and an LLB from Monash University, an MBA from the University of Melbourne, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College). He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (appointed 2008) and an adjunct professor at Monash University’s Business School, where he has taught corporate governance in the MBA programs.
