LilySophia was born in Toowoomba, Queensland and moved to Melbourne at six years old. She began her training at The Jane Moore Academy of Ballet under the tuition of her mother, Andie Dashwood. In 2022, LilySophia competed in the Prix de Lausanne international competition, where she received an offer to continue her training at the Royal Ballet Upper School in London. Whilst in London, she had the opportunity to perform with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet in productions of Sir Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella and Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet at The Royal Opera House and Sir Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker at Royal Albert Hall. For her graduation performance, LilySophia performed in Ashton’s Les Patineurs and danced the role of the Lilac Fairy in Sir Anthony Dowell’s The Sleeping Beauty. After graduating in July of 2025, LilySophia joined The Australian Ballet as a corps de ballet member.
