Katherine Sonnekus

Katherine was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She moved with her family to New Zealand when she was eleven. She studied at the Mount Eden Ballet Academy with Melinda Palmer, at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy with Lucinda Dunn, and at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of American Ballet Theatre with Cynthia Harvey and Ethan Stiefel.
