Dario Zanini-Sassani

Dario was born in Melbourne, Australia and began full time training at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) at 11. During his time at VCASS he completed his Cecchetti Advanced 2 syllabus with Anne Butler and competed at the Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition (CICB) in Florence, Italy. At 17, Dario joined the Queensland Ballet. During his time there Dario performed in the Queensland Ballet’s 60th Anniversary Gala, Bespoke, Peter and the Wolf and Manon. Dario was also one of the Queensland Ballet’s Community and Education Teaching Artist, where he fell in love with teaching the next generation. After his return to Melbourne, Dario taught at many different dance schools around Victoria. In 2026, Dario joined The Australian Ballet as a Dance Educator.
