Cynthia Scott
As Group CEO, Cynthia leads Zip’s financial performance and strategy across Australia, New Zealand and the United States. She is passionate about innovation and building inclusive teams and is a member of ARIC.
Before joining Zip, Cynthia held senior executive roles at Scentre Group and Telstra. Prior to Telstra, Cynthia spent over 20 years in investment banking, most recently at Barclays where her roles included Regional Head of Debt Capital Markets in Hong Kong and CEO of Australia and New Zealand.
Cynthia was previously a non-executive director for Uniti Group, and Chair of Foxtel, Telstra Ventures and Autohome. She is a member of the Adara Panel and Chief Executive Women, and previously served as a member of the Advisory Board of Room to Read.
Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Japanese Studies), a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Before her corporate career, Cynthia trained under Valrene Tweedie, completed her full-time ballet studies with Marilyn Jones and Garth Welch and remains passionate about supporting ballet in Australia.
