Adam Bull

Adam Bull began his training at Dance World 301 with Brian Nolan before joining The Australian Ballet School; in 2000, he represented Australia in the Paris International Ballet Competition. He graduated from The Australian Ballet School with honours in 2001 and joined The Australian Ballet in 2002. In 2008, after just six months as a senior artist, he was promoted to principal artist.

Adam has danced all the major lead roles of the classical canon, and also relishes contemporary works, particularly those by George Balanchine, Graeme Murphy, Christopher Wheeldon, Wayne McGregor, Jiří Kylián and Alice Topp. He also enjoys darker dramatic roles such as Diaghilev in John Neumeier’s Nijinsky and Crassus in Lucas Jervies’ Spartacus. After 22 years with The Australian Ballet, Adam retired in 2023.
