Applications are now open for our 2027 Immersion Program.
As part of The Australian Ballet On Tour, we are inviting ballet teachers from the local areas around Albury, Mildura, Darwin and Alice Springs to develop their skills and training by applying to take part in our 2027 Immersion Program.
The program is focussed on engaging with ballet teachers throughout Australia and providing resources that can be taken back to their communities and local dance studios.
The schedule for the Immersion Program includes observing rehearsals and coaching sessions with The Australian Ballet artistic staff, development and engagement with our Artistic Health team, plus behind the scenes access across all our departments to gain an insight into the operations of a professional dance company.
Based at The Primrose Potter Australian Ballet Centre in Melbourne, this one-week program is an exciting opportunity to observe and learn from Australia’s national ballet company. The recipient will receive personalised insights into The Australian Ballet’s artistic, production and administrative departments which can be tailored to their specific interests and goals.
The recipient will also be given exclusive behind the scenes access to The Australian Ballet rehearsals and coaching facilities to gain an understanding of how a professional ballet company operates.
The Immersion Program is an exciting opportunity to learn from the country’s national ballet company and share these skills with communities throughout Australia.
In this round of the program, applications are open to candidates residing in and around Albury Wodonga (including all areas within the Albury City Council, and Wodonga Rural City Council), Mildura (including all areas within the Mildura Rural City Council), Darwin / Garramilla and Alice Springs / Mparntwe (including all communities throughout the Northern Territory).
