Join The Australian Ballet for a special class as part of The Nutcracker Act II and other works tour. Led onstage by the Artistic Staff of The Australian Ballet, students in Narre Warren, Albury, Ballarat, Horsham, Mildura, Adelaide, Darwin, and Alice Springs will have the chance to refine their skills and learn techniques used by the company’s own dancers to improve alignment and movement.
These non-syllabus classes are suitable for ages 13–18 with a minimum of Grade Six ballet experience.
Please note all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop.

Attending Class
What to wear:
- Non-restrictive tights or leggings
- T-shirt, leotard or sports top
- Ballet shoes or socks
What to bring:
- A bottle of water and a towel
- It’s recommended that you don’t eat in the 90 minutes before class and are well hydrated
Class etiquette:
- Arrive at least five minutes before class, as there is no late admittance
- Please sign in for all classes
- Wash your hands before entering the studio
- Please turn off phones and mobile devices
- Listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions

Tickets for events, talks, workshops and classes (“events”) are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. All purchases are final, and tickets are non-transferrable. Purchase and participation of events will be considered acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, and any ongoing updates to these Terms and Conditions. Where a participant is a minor/child as defined by Australian law, a parent/guardian is accepting these Terms and Conditions on their behalf.
For security purposes and in case of an emergency, the names of individual participants are required for these events. You may also be asked to provide additional details including the participant’s address, date of birth and emergency contacts. The Australian Ballet has the right, at any time, to verify the validity of a participant’s registration, to refuse entry and to reject or disqualify a participant from participating in any events.
All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop. All employees of The Australian Ballet comply with our company’s Child Safety Policy.
In participating in events conducted by The Australian Ballet you agree that neither you, your heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against The Australian Ballet for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. Important Information
Drop off and Pick up Location
Please arrive in the theatre foyer outside the box office 10 minutes prior to class start time as there is no late admittance once the class has started.
- Participants are asked to arrive ready for class as there are limited change room facilities in the venues
- All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop
Registrations and Participant Information and Consent Forms
At the time of booking, you will be required to complete a registration for each child participating which will submit all required participant information and parent/guardian consent to The Australian Ballet.
If you do not have access to a printer, physical copies will be available at class sign-in for you to complete before class commences.
Your child will not be permitted to participate in this class without a completed registration or Participant Information and Consent Form.
