Wonderland

EK 2 web

A four-person ballet, performed by the Education and Outreach team, for schools and community venues.

Wonderland is a 30-minute, modern ballet adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, performed by 4 dancers. This pop-up style performance is designed to be performed in school halls and small community theatres.

Alice is seen daydreaming by a riverbank, dancing amongst the butterflies. She sees a white rabbit who appears to be running late. Alice is curious by nature, and decides to follow the rabbit down a long winding rabbit hole, where she finds herself in a room of floating doors.

A mysterious Cheshire Cat appears, guiding her through this odd room of doors, where finally she is led into Wonderland.

In Wonderland she is met again by the White Rabbit, who continues to guide her journey through this mysterious land. Here, she meets more characters – the entertaining Hatter, the kind Knave, the jazzy Flamingo and the demanding Queen of Hearts with her Guard.

Join Alice on her journey, for a game of croquet, plenty of dancing, and a tea party or two!
