Regional Tour 2018
Our Education Regional Tour provides a unique opportunity for young people to engage with dance and experience an art form that they may never have seen performed in their home town. This compact tour reaches areas that our larger productions can not be staged in.
In 2018 we delivered workshops and performances for schools and community groups in Cairns, Atherton, Mareeba, Alice Springs and in the community of Ntaria (130 kilometres outside of Alice Springs). Watch the two-part Regional Tour video series below to discover a taste of the activities children engaged in across the country.
"I’m looking forward to this afternoon because I’ve only seen one ballet performance before ... I would like to see all the costumes they wear and how the story is played." Student, White Rock State School
"It’s fabulous that we can give the children in a rural community the opportunity to experience dance." Kylie Jones, Deputy Principal Atherton State Primary School
