November 1 is World Ballet Day! The Australian Ballet, alongside the Royal Ballet and San Franscico Ballet will present the live streaming event that features companies from across the globe coming together to celebrate our love of ballet.

Stream World Ballet Day at The Australian Ballet from 10:30am to 1:30pm AEDT for ballet insights and behind-the-scenes access to our home at the Ballet Centre in Melbourne.

Meet our Artistic Director David Hallberg and former The Australian Ballet Principal Artist Ty King Wall

12pm Elite Athleticism

Director of Artistic Health, Dr Sue Mayes and Sakis Michaelis to take you through the Pas de Deux circuit and discuss the importance of maintaining the health and fitness of our artists.

12.12pm Swan Lake Rehearsal

Cygnets – Act II of Swan Lake

12.35 Marguerite and Armand Rehearsal

Meet repetiteur Grant Coyle and dancers Principal Artists Amy Harris and Nathan Brook and watch them rehearse a pas de deux from Marguerite and Armand.

1pm The Dream Rehearsal

Meet Christopher Carr and watch the company rehearse ‘the fairies’ in Frederick Ashtons’, The Dream.

1.25 Farewell

The Australian Ballet dancers and staff say goodbye and thank you for joining us for another fantastic ballet day.
