Join The Australian Ballet family
Philanthropy is a vital part of The Australian Ballet. It is only with the support of individuals, trusts and foundations and bequests that the company is able to perform at the highest standard every night, tour internationally, and dream for the future.
Individuals who give to The Australian Ballet are welcomed into our “ballet family”. Throughout the year, you’re invited to engage with our dancers and the supporting teams behind the curtain. There are many ways to get involved, and we would love to hear about your passion for the company.
So please join us and discover how you can help ensure the long-term future of The Australian Ballet.
Every time we look at The Australian Ballet we see beauty, grace, romance, artistry, strength, power and athleticism. This is made possible by everyone making the extra effort: great teachers, great dancers, a great support team and a great philanthropic community.Kenneth W Watkins, Director of Philanthropy
At the heart of the Philanthropy program is The Australian Ballet’s Annual Giving program. Annual giving is the most important way to support the company and underpins our everyday operations. We get to know our Annual Giving Patrons and enjoy many special moments together, in support of The Australian Ballet and our dancers.
If you would like to join our Annual Giving ballet family, you may donate now online, by post or by phone. To learn more about Philanthropy, please contact your local Patrons Manager.

Beyond Annual Giving, the company appeals to our ballet family for support of short term special projects. Currently we are excited to be developing unique productions specifically for children aged 3–11 and with two great classical ballets in 2016: Swan Lake and Coppélia we are inviting ballet lovers to donate the equivalent value of a pair of pointe shoes or ballet flats. The company is consistently humbled by the great support we receive. Thank you to everyone who goes above and beyond for The Australian Ballet through philanthropy.Find out more
Launched in December 2015, the Ballet Ambassador Program invites and engages with Sydney's young (25–50) culture goers, and welcomes them into the active life of the ballet in order for them to become the next generation of The Australian Ballet patrons, corporate sponsors and active supporters.Learn more
