Sara Pheasant

Sara Pheasant joined Orchestra Victoria in 2016. She brings over a decade of leadership experience within the university sector and more than 15 years as an artist, director, writer and producer in the performing arts.

Sara is a lawyer with change leadership, governance, policy, strategy, advocacy and research expertise, and a commitment to social justice initiatives. Her innovative approach to driving positive organisational reforms in the tertiary education sector has been acknowledged with a Vice-Chancellor’s award and an Australian Learning and Teaching Committee citation.

Her extensive educational background includes a Juris Doctor with Distinction, a Master of Applied Science by research, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with Commendation and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Science, in addition to mediation training from the Victorian Bar.
