Peter Wilson began his artistic career as a dancer. A graduate of The Australian Ballet School, Wilson’s innate understanding of the music-dance relationship has been a driving force behind his creative process for the past 14 years.

After studying on full scholarship at the Royal College of Music, Wilson quickly established himself as a prominent emerging composer in London. Wilson’s work includes theatre scores for the Old Vic, Soho Theatre and Pleasance Theatre, concert commissions for the Royal Philharmonic Society and Royal Northern Sinfonia in addition to dance collaborations and short films.

Between 2019 to 2021 Wilson was the Resident Composer for Microsoft Diversity & Inclusion (Seattle).

Recent projects include Wonderland for The Australian Ballet, a collaboration with Booker Prize-winning author Ben Okri, The Wasteland, Three Preludes for renowned pianist and pedagogue Glenn Riddle and music/sound design for the Olivier Award-winning Flesh and Bone.

Wilson has played as a pianist for The Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet and Matthew Bourne New Adventures and is the Company Pianist at The Australian Ballet.
