Terms and Conditions

General 

1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion/Acceptance of a prize is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.  Headings in this document are included for ease of reference, and do not affect interpretation in any way. 

2. The promoter is The Australian Ballet (ABN 57 004 849 987) of Level 6, 2 Kavanagh St, Southbank VIC 3006 (Promoter). 

 

Promotion Period 

3. The promotion commences at 12:00am AEST on June 2 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on June 15 2026 (Promotion Period). 

 

Eligibility 

4. Entry is open only to Australian residents aged 18 years or older at the commencement of the Promotion Period, excluding directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and registered travel companions of employees of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate (Eligible Entrants). 

 

How to Enter 

5. To enter, Eligible Entrants must during the Promotion Period: 

  • Follow @ausballet on Instagram; 
  • Tag at least one friend in the comments of the promotional post 

6. Each valid tag counts as one entry. Multiple entries are permitted, provided each entry tags a different person and complies with these Terms and Conditions. 

7. Entrants must not: 

  • Tag themselves, businesses, or fake accounts; or 
  • Post offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful content. 

8. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries. 

9. The Promoter will not accept any entries submitted after the Promotion Period has ended.  

10. The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter. 

11. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process.  Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 

 

Draw and Winner Selection 

12. This is a game of chance. Skill plays no part in determining the winners. 

13. The draw will take place at 10:00am AEST on 16 June 2026 at The Australian Ballet, Level 6, 2 Kavanagh St, Southbank VIC 3006. 

14. Five (5) winners will be randomly drawn. 

15. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

 

Prize 

16. Each winner will receive: 

  • One (1) A Reserve double pass to Opening Night of the Melbourne season of Copland Dance Episodes, Tuesday 23 June 7:30pm; and 
  • One (1) program voucher, 

17. valued at $480 AUD per prize (per winner). 

18. Total prize pool value: $2,400 AUD. 

19. Prizes are: 

  • Not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash; 
  • Subject to availability; 
  • To be used on dates specified by the Promoter: Opening Night Tuesday 23 June 7:30pm . 

20. Any additional costs associated with use of the prize are the responsibility of the winner. 

 

Winner Notification 

21. Winners will be notified via direct message on Instagram within 2 business days of the draw. 

22. Winners must respond within 2 business days to claim their prize. 

 

Unclaimed Prize Draw 

23. If a prize remains unclaimed, a redraw will occur at 10:00am AEST on 18 June at the same location. 

24. New winners will be notified in the same manner. 

 

Verification & Disqualification 

25. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who: 

  • Violates these Terms and Conditions; 
  • Engages in unlawful or improper conduct; or 
  • Uses automated or fraudulent entry methods. 

 

Liability 

26. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered in connection with the promotion or prize. 

27. Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law. 

 

Privacy 

28. Personal information will be collected and used for the administration of this promotion in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

 

Social Media Disclaimer (Meta Compliance) 

29. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram (Meta). 

30. Entrants provide their information to the Promoter, not to Meta. 

31. By entering, entrants release Instagram from any liability associated with this promotion. 

 

General 

32. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the promotion if necessary, subject to applicable laws.
