Live on Ballet TV, supported by our Principal Partner Telstra, gives you the opportunity to experience The Australian Ballet in real-time from wherever you are.
Ballet fans across the world can get front-row seats to watch a selection of our 2022 season ballets streamed LIVE from Melbourne, with bonus commentary from Artistic Director David Hallberg and guests, as well as live interviews and behind-the-scenes footage exclusive to the livestream.
Tickets are just $25 AUD.
Each livestream can be accessed on any device for up to 48 hours from the livestream start time without needing to download software or applications. To view on your smart TV additional applications or devices may be needed. Once you have booked your ticket, you will receive an email 48 hours before the live performance with full information on how to view the stream and a unique link to watch the ballet. If you purchase a ticket within 48 hours of the livestream commencing, or after it has commenced, you will receive your ticket up to 1 hour after purchase.
How do I access my livestream?
A link to watch the livestream will be emailed to you prior to the performance date. There will be one link per ticket purchased and each link will permit only one device to stream the performance. This includes SmartTVs, so you can invite a group of friends and cast direct to your TV.
You will have up to 48 hours after the performance begins to access the livestream.
Can I gift a livestream ticket?
Yes you can! In the days leading up to the livestream, you will be emailed a unique link for each ticket you purchased. If purchasing as a gift, you will need to forward the recipient their livestream link.
Is Live On Ballet TV available to view in my country?
Yes, Live on Ballet TV is available to watch worldwide. Please note the livestreams are in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) for Harlequinade and Romeo and Juliet so please make sure you double-check the time zone in your country.
Is Live On Ballet TV really live?
If you start the live stream at the starting time listed below, you will be watching it live. If you are unable to start at the same time as the live performance, we recommend waiting until it has ended before starting your livestream.
If I start watching during the 48-hour window will I be able to finish viewing the production?
Yes, as long as you leave enough time between when you start the ballet and when the 48-hour window ends.
Can I purchase Live on Ballet TV on DVD?
No. Live on Ballet TV is only available to watch once during the times and dates listed below.
Can I pause the stream?
Yes. You can pause and rewatch the stream in the 48 hour window.
I can't find my livestream link?
We recommend you monitor your junk and/or spam folders for the email containing the livestream link.
