Classical delights and romantic treasures: there is something for every music lover in Orchestra Victoria’s 2018 Chamber Music Series. Join our exceptional orchestral musicians for an engaging series of concerts in South Melbourne and Healesville.

With repertoire spanning the baroque era to the 21st century, including classical favourites like Mendelssohn’s exuberant Octet for Strings, musical highlights for brass ensemble and Latin American flamenco-inspired works, the season is sure to delight new audiences and connoisseurs alike.

After each performance, we invite you to stay and meet the musicians and enjoy light refreshments.

Peter and the Wolf

Sergei Prokofiev’s enchanting Peter and the Wolf, a musical fairytale for children, presented by Orchestra Victoria.

In February, join Orchestra Victoria for Peter and the Wolf, the perfect first musical experience for children aged three and up. Experience this much-loved musical tale illustrated by the sounds of the woodwind and brass sections while Artistic Director Nicolette Fraillon masterfully narrates the story. Lasting under 30 minutes, Peter and the Wolf is a delightful way to introduce children to live music.
