Associate Principal Bass

Orchestra Victoria seeks a musician of outstanding ability for the position of Associate Principal Bass.

Associate Principal Bass is a full-time position with Orchestra Victoria. The salary for this position as a Level A Principal Musician starts at $82,337 per annum plus superannuation and allowances. The position, if offered, will be for an initial three-year contract period, in accordance with the OV-EA 2018-2021. This contract period will be subject to a trial period of up to twelve months.

Applications are open to musicians who are Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents.

Please note that only recorded submissions will be accepted for the First Round of auditions. The Second Round of auditions will be held live in Melbourne.

 

Audition dates:

Round One (recorded submissions only) – 5pm AEST, Wednesday 05 January 2022

Round Two (live audition) – Monday 31 January and Tuesday 1 February 2022

Please note candidates must be available for both Round Two audition dates.

Orchestra Manager

The Orchestra Manager is a central role with primary responsibility for musician personnel management, including scheduling, rostering, booking and contracting seasons, leave, recruitment and auditions, internal communications and project costings

Operations Assistants - Casual

Operations Assistants are part of a small team responsible for the technical and staging operations of Orchestra Victoria’s performances and other activities. Working closely with the Operations team and musicians in a fast-paced performance environment, these positions require people who are highly motivated, attentive and affable with excellent communication skills.

Orchestra Victoria is based in Melbourne, however some regional travel within Victoria may be required. Hours of work are varied to accommodate the performance schedule of the Company and will include work on weekends and in the evenings.
