Orchestra Librarian

The Orchestra Librarian is part of the operations team responsible for enabling Orchestra Victoria’s performances and other activities to be of the highest calibre. The Orchestra Librarian reports to the Head of Operations and Planning (HOP), and works closely with the Artistic Director, musicians, partner companies and operations staff and the wider Orchestra Victoria team. 

This role will oversee the music library requirements of Orchestra Victoria, including education projects. This role requires a thorough understanding and experience relevant to orchestral music, in particular ballet and opera music.

The position is Melbourne based and hours of work (approx. 15 hours per week) are varied due to the company’s performance schedule and will include work on weekends and in the evenings.
