Styling Ballet Imperial: 1806 cocktails

13 June 2014 | By admin

Our latest Ballet Imperial styling comes from Melbourne Cocktail Bar 1806. We think George Balanchine and Serge Lifar, who choreographed the ballets in our elegant Imperial Suite program, would have enjoyed a tipple in this plush red bar with its chandeliers and vintage leather armchairs. It’s named after the year that the word “cocktail” was first used in print, and it specialises in classic concoctions with a modern twist.

We asked 1806 to come up with a Ballet Imperial cocktail, and they exceeded our wildest dreams. Five of the staff dreamed up splendid creations based on both Ballet Imperial and Suite en blanc. We can’t wait to quaff one (or two) of these as sundowners before heading to a performance of Imperial Suite!
