Have questions about a career in dance?

On 24 September, The Australian Ballet is holding a free forum, Dance as a Career, for aspiring dancers and their families. It’s also a great one for dance teachers. Artistic Director David McAllister, Principal Coach & Ballet Mistress Fiona Tonkin, and dancers Jarryd Madden and Jade Wood will discuss the training you need to become a classical ballet dancer, the importance of academic education, and dancer health. The forum will also cover choosing the right company for you, the audition process, life within a company, and life after dance. The team will then take questions from the audience.

Can’t make the forum? Leave your questions as a comment on this post, and we’ll make sure that as many as possible get covered during Dance as a Career.

Dance as a Career will be held at the Victorian Arts Centre, in the State Theatre, 24 September, 5pm – 6pm.
