Meet Corps de Ballet dancer

Edward Smith

Dancer of The Australian Ballet 2016 - 2019

Introducing Edward

Edward was born in Camden, New South Wales. Inspired by his two sisters, he wanted to perform from a young age and finally began dance classes at the age of ten. He trained at the Academy of Performing Arts, Macarthur (with Pauline Hinks) and The McDonald College in Sydney (with Josephine Jason and Gina Brescianini), before joining The Australian Ballet School. While there he was fortunate to undertake a student exchange with Canada’s National Ballet School and perform as part of The Dancers Company regional tour in 2015. He joined The Australian Ballet in 2016.

Edward's last year with The Australian Ballet was 2019.
